About
William J. Gallitto III is a litigation attorney whose practice centers on resolving complex civil disputes for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and other business entities. Drawing on a broad range of courtroom experience, he represents clients in matters involving personal injury, employment disputes, and estate and probate litigation. His work also extends to specialized areas of litigation, including toxic tort claims involving asbestos, mesothelioma, and medical devices, as well as transportation and towing-related cases. Through careful case preparation and detailed legal analysis, he helps clients address challenging legal issues in both state and federal courts.
William earned a B.A. from Colby College in 2005. He later received a J.D., cum laude, from New England School of Law in 2010. During law school, he developed strong legal research and writing skills that became a foundation for his litigation practice. He was also a member of the New England Law Review, serving as Technical Editor in 2010 and authoring articles that examined punitive damage reform and the Equal Pay Act.
William gained valuable insight into the judicial process after law school while serving as a Judicial Fellow for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Superior Court. In that role, he worked closely with judges on a wide variety of civil and criminal matters. His responsibilities included drafting opinions, orders, memoranda, and jury instructions, conducting extensive legal research, and assisting during pre-trial conferences, oral arguments, and trials. This experience provided a unique understanding of how courts evaluate legal arguments and evidence.
William later represented individuals affected by toxic exposures, including those diagnosed with mesothelioma, lung cancer, and asbestosis. His background includes trying cases to a decision in both state and federal courts, giving him practical experience handling litigation from investigation through trial. He is admitted to practice in Maine, Massachusetts, and Connecticut, as well as the U.S. Federal District Courts for the District of Maine, District of Massachusetts, District of Connecticut, and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He is also involved with Business Network International and continues to apply his litigation experience to a diverse range of civil disputes.
William J. Gallitto III combines courtroom experience, judicial insight, and thorough legal analysis to advocate for clients across a wide spectrum of civil litigation matters. His background handling personal injury, employment, estate and probate disputes, toxic tort claims, and transportation-related litigation reflects a commitment to strategic representation and careful preparation in every case.
