William B. Palmertree is the managing member and a founding attorney at Graves Palmertree, PLLC in Hernando, Mississippi. He represents banks, lenders, businesses, property owners, Homeowners’ Associations, and individuals across North Mississippi and West Tennessee. His practice includes creditors’ rights, bankruptcy, collections, commercial real estate, title disputes, business planning, contracts, and civil or commercial litigation. He helps clients recover debts, structure transactions, resolve property concerns, and address disputes in state or federal court.
William earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Mississippi in 2002. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 2005. He was admitted in Mississippi in 2005 and in Tennessee in 2006. His federal admissions include the Fifth Circuit and district courts in Mississippi and Tennessee. His education and multistate practice support his work involving business operations, financial obligations, real estate, and contested commercial matters.
William began his legal career in Jackson, Tennessee, before he moved to DeSoto County in 2007. He co-founded Graves Palmertree in 2009 and later became its managing member. His work includes foreclosures, repossessions, garnishments, liens, commercial closings, title insurance, boundary disputes, business formations, acquisitions, dissolutions, and contract preparation. He also advises clients on landlord-tenant matters and Homeowners’ Association concerns. His litigation experience helps him evaluate evidence, identify risks, and prepare practical strategies for complex disputes.
William B. Palmertree belongs to state, local, bankruptcy, and land title organizations, and he remains active in professional education. He served on the Hernando Chamber of Commerce board from 2008 through 2014. He also completed the Mississippi Bar Leadership Forum in 2013. His speaking work has covered foreclosure law, real estate updates, title examination, business formation, zoning, and land use. Through volunteer legal service and civic involvement, he supports clients and communities throughout the region.
