Will Cox has practiced law in Kentucky for many years, handling matters involving municipal law, election law, government affairs, and crisis management. His background also includes work in civil litigation, criminal defense, estate planning, business organization, and real estate transactions. He is admitted to the Kentucky and federal courts.

Will earned a B.A. from the University of Kentucky in 1991 before completing his J.D. from the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law, University of Louisville, in 1999. During law school, he served as Chair of the Honor Council and represented students through the Student Bar Association while attending classes.

Will previously practiced across Western Kentucky with Whitfield & Cox PSC, formerly known as Whitfield & Calvert PSC. He later worked in government relations and external affairs for a national cable television operator. His responsibilities included franchise negotiations, market research projects, and communication planning during a major industry renewal period cycle.

Will has represented clients in civil litigation, criminal defense, estate planning, and business matters while also assisting with real estate transactions. His legal work combines courtroom experience with practical guidance for individuals, families, and organizations. He approaches each matter with careful preparation, direct communication, and attention to long-term client concerns.

Will served on the Madisonville City Council before becoming Mayor of Madisonville from 2007 through 2010. During his time in office, he supervised city departments, managed a large municipal budget, and worked on infrastructure funding efforts. He also directed emergency response operations during the historic 2009 Ice Storm across the local community.

Will remains active in professional and civic organizations throughout Kentucky. He has served in leadership positions with the Hopkins County Bar Association and participates in the Municipal Attorneys Association of Kentucky. His community involvement also includes educational, charitable, and youth sports organizations, along with several leadership development programs across Kentucky.

Will Cox continues to advise clients on legal and government-related matters throughout Kentucky. His background in public service, negotiations, litigation, and crisis communication gives clients informed guidance across many areas of law. He combines legal knowledge with practical experience gained from years of leadership, advocacy, and community involvement.
