Wesley T.L. Burrell

Wesley T.L. Burrell is a partner in the Los Angeles office of Munger, Tolles & Olson and focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation. He represents corporations, financial institutions, and business leaders in high-stakes disputes involving financial services, intellectual property, and commercial matters.

Wesley earned his Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, in 2011, graduating magna cum laude. He received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Oklahoma in 2001, graduating summa cum laude and building the academic foundation for his legal career.

Wesley represents clients in a wide range of complex litigation matters in federal and state courts as well as arbitration and mediation proceedings. His practice includes disputes involving securities law, fiduciary duties, private equity and venture capital investments, and other complex financial issues.

Wesley has extensive experience handling intellectual property and data-related disputes. His work includes matters involving trademarks, copyrights, and confidential business information, as well as advising companies on legal issues affecting technology and media businesses.

Wesley has represented major corporations and financial institutions in significant litigation matters. His work includes defending financial institutions in mortgage-backed securities litigation and representing companies in complex commercial and antitrust disputes.

Wesley maintains an active pro bono practice and has represented community organizations, asylum seekers, and victims of human trafficking. His work has also included litigation supporting the return of Bruce’s Beach property to the heirs of the Bruce family.

Wesley T.L. Burrell served as a law clerk to Judge Ferdinand F. Fernandez of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America “Ones to Watch” list for his work in complex litigation.
