Wesley R. Abrams

Wesley R. Abrams is a partner in the Cincinnati office of Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP, where he is a key member of the firm’s litigation group. His practice focuses on complex civil litigation and appellate matters, frequently representing national financial institutions and corporate clients in high-stakes disputes across multiple jurisdictions.

Wesley earned his Juris Doctor summa cum laude from Northern Kentucky University’s Chase College of Law in 2016. While there, he served as executive editor of the Northern Kentucky Law Review. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree with highest honors from the University of Louisville, awarded in 2013. His academic excellence laid a strong foundation for his legal success.

Before joining Vorys, Wesley clerked for the Honorable Greg N. Stivers, Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky. That federal clerkship deepened his understanding of trial and appellate court procedure and continues to influence his advocacy today.

Wesley has successfully defended clients in a range of complex disputes, including class actions, ERISA claims, breach-of-contract cases, and commercial arbitrations. He has drafted appellate briefs resulting in major rulings before courts such as the Sixth Circuit, Fifth Circuit, and various state appellate courts. His written advocacy has led to significant victories, including reversals of lower court decisions and favorable dismissals in multi-million dollar cases.

In addition to his civil work, Wesley R. Abrams has been appointed under the Criminal Justice Act and argued a habeas corpus appeal before the Sixth Circuit.
