Wendy A. Mara is an Ormond Beach attorney who represents clients in family law, probate, guardianship, estate planning, business law, and civil litigation. Her practice focuses on legal matters that affect families, individuals, and businesses across the Volusia and Flagler County area. She helps clients address domestic disputes, probate concerns, wills, guardianship issues, and business-related legal needs with practical guidance and careful attention to each client’s goals.
Ms. Mara earned her undergraduate degree from Stetson University, where she graduated magna cum laude in 1993 and was selected for Phi Beta Kappa. While teaching full-time, she earned an M.B.A. from the University of Central Florida in 2006 and was selected for Phi Kappa Phi. She later earned her J.D. from Florida Coastal School of Law, graduating in the top 10 percent of her class and earning recognition for pro bono work and oral advocacy.
Ms. Mara was admitted to The Florida Bar in 2009 and is also admitted before the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. Before private practice, she taught language arts for 13 years, an experience that supports her communication and problem-solving skills. Her legal background includes work as an associate and attorney in private practice, where she has handled family, probate, wills, guardianship, and business matters for clients facing important legal decisions.
Wendy A. Mara is recognized for professional leadership and service in the local legal community. She has served in leadership roles with the Volusia-Flagler Association for Women Lawyers and the Volusia County Bar Association, and she has chaired the Elder Law Section of the Volusia County Bar Association. Her honors include an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell, Super Lawyers Rising Star recognition in probate and family law, and the Woman of the Year Award from the Volusia-Flagler Association for Women Lawyers.
