Vidhya Babu

Vidhya Babu founded her own law office, serving individuals and families in Redwood City and throughout the Bay Area. She focuses on estate planning, probate, and trust administration, helping clients organize their affairs and address the distribution of assets. Her work includes explaining planning choices to families and assisting them with legal responsibilities following a loved one’s death. She emphasizes communication and decisions tailored to each client’s circumstances.

Vidhya received a Bachelor of Arts cum laude from Boston University in 1996 and a Juris Doctorate from Temple University Law School in 1999. Before entering her later law firm roles, she also worked as a summer associate at the United Nations Office of Legal Affairs in New York. Her academic and early professional experience support her work with estate documents, fiduciary responsibilities, and practical legal planning.

Vidhya founded her own practice after serving as an equity and managing partner at Fox, Shjeflo & Babu for 15 years, following eight years as an associate attorney. Across those roles, she has helped families and individuals plan for the future and navigate probate and trust administration. Her work involves understanding family priorities, explaining estate-related decisions, and assisting clients with matters that can have lasting financial and personal consequences.

Vidhya Babu is active in legal and community organizations, including the San Mateo County Bar Association and its scholarship committee. She has also supported local education initiatives and served on school-related boards and committees. Her professional approach combines estate planning guidance with an emphasis on helping clients make informed decisions, fulfill legal obligations, and prepare for changes affecting their families and assets.
