Victoria B. Finlinson focuses her legal work on helping businesses handle employment issues in a practical and effective way. She supports companies with both advice and courtroom representation, guiding them through complex workplace matters and helping them reduce risk while staying compliant with the law.
Victoria earned her Bachelor of Arts in Government magna cum laude from the University of Texas in 2011. She later received her Juris Doctor with honors from the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah in 2014.
Victoria works closely with employers on topics such as workplace policies, wage and hour practices, employee discipline, terminations, compensation plans, and internal investigations. She also assists with protecting trade secrets and structuring independent contractor relationships. Her goal is to help businesses make informed decisions that support both legal compliance and day-to-day operations.
Victoria has strong experience in defending employers in lawsuits involving major employment laws. These include the Fair Labor Standards Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and the Family and Medical Leave Act. She approaches each case with a clear strategy and a focus on efficient results.
Victoria has been recognized for her work in Labor and Employment Law and related areas. She has been recognized in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in America 2026 for her work in Health Care Law, Labor and Employment Law – Management, and Litigation – Labor and Employment. In earlier years, she was also included in Best Lawyers in America©, Ones to Watch, and honored as Utah Legal Elite by Utah Business Magazine in both Labor & Employment and Litigation.
