Tyler S. Bobes

Tyler S. Bobes is a partner at Walter Haverfield and Chair of its Real Estate Group, serving clients nationwide. As a business and real estate lawyer, he advises REITs, developers, private equity funds, and major corporations on large-scale leasing, acquisitions, dispositions, and redevelopment projects. He is also a member of the firm’s Executive Committee.

Tyler’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts from Ohio University, graduating cum laude, followed by a Juris Doctor from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. He also earned an LL.M. from the Georgetown University Law Center, further enhancing his legal acumen in complex commercial transactions.

Tyler has represented public and private entities in critical real estate matters, including joint ventures for 100+ acre mixed-use developments, lease negotiations across the country, and sale-leasebacks of corporate headquarters and industrial facilities. His work extends to advising on 1031 like-kind exchanges and negotiating ground leases and anchor tenant agreements in retail centers.

Licensed to practice in both Ohio and Washington, D.C., Tyler is an active member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the District of Columbia Bar. He regularly contributes to legal education by speaking at industry seminars hosted by ICSC, the National Business Institute, and HalfMoon Education Inc., where he presents on commercial lease structures, easement rights, and related real estate law issues.
