About
Trevor C. Mosby focuses his practice on bankruptcy and financial restructuring, as well as commercial and real estate disputes. He represents secured and unsecured creditors in bankruptcies, loan workouts, receiverships, foreclosures, and collection actions. His work extends to individuals and businesses, where he helps navigate complex lending and commercial conflicts.
Trevor earned his B.B.A. from Lamar University in 2009 and went on to complete an M.A. at Sam Houston State University in 2013. He later obtained his J.D., cum laude, from Southern University Law Center in 2018, where he contributed as Junior Editor of the Journal of Race, Gender & Poverty. Following graduation, he served as a judicial law clerk for Judge Monique F. Rauls and also gained experience as a judicial intern with Judge Douglas D. Dodd.
Trevor guides financial institutions and alternative lenders through difficult borrower relationships, often negotiating creative workout strategies. He regularly advocates in Chapter 11 reorganizations and other bankruptcy matters, protecting creditor rights and handling litigation over loan agreements. His practice further includes preparing loan documents, overseeing due diligence, and advising on property title and corporate authority in real estate finance transactions.
Trevor’s contributions to the legal community have been recognized through several honors. He was named a 2023 Louisiana State Bar Association, Young Lawyers Division Top 40 Award recipient. That same year, he was selected as a Blackshear Presidential Fellow by the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges. In addition, he participated in the 2023–2024 Diversity Mentoring Program, reflecting his commitment to professional growth and service.
Trevor C. Mosby maintains memberships with the Louisiana State Bar Association, American Bankruptcy Institute, Greater New Orleans Martinet Legal Society, and serves on the Providence Community Housing Board of Directors. His admissions span multiple U.S. District and Bankruptcy Courts in Louisiana and Texas, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Through his broad experience, he delivers effective solutions across financial, bankruptcy, and litigation matters.
