Travis E. Dorman is an associate attorney focusing his practice on criminal defense matters throughout East Tennessee. Travis earned his Juris Doctor from Lincoln Memorial University’s Duncan School of Law, graduating in December 2023 at the top of his class. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Electronic Media, developing strong research and communication skills.

Before entering the legal profession, Travis worked as a breaking news and investigative reporter for the Knoxville News Sentinel. In that role, he covered courts, crime, and law enforcement across East Tennessee, gaining firsthand insight into the criminal justice system and the impact legal representation has on individuals and communities.

During law school, Travis applied his writing and analytical abilities to assist in complex civil litigation matters. He worked on cases involving claims against county governments and large corporations, helping prepare legal arguments and supporting plaintiffs’ litigation strategy.

Admitted to the Tennessee Bar in 2024, Travis now concentrates on defending clients in criminal cases, including matters involving asset forfeiture. He approaches each case with careful preparation, clear communication, and a determination to challenge the prosecution’s evidence and procedures when appropriate.
