Tracy Bomar-Howze is an attorney with decades of hands-on legal experience serving individuals and families through challenging legal matters. Licensed in Michigan, South Carolina, and the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina, she is known for her disciplined approach, accountability, and commitment to helping people navigate complex legal systems.
Tracy earned her Juris Doctor from Thomas Cooley Law School in 2000. Her legal education provided a strong foundation for analytical reasoning, courtroom preparation, and ethical advocacy. Alongside her legal training, she has remained committed to education, sharing her knowledge through teaching and professional development throughout her career.
Tracy concentrates her practice in family law, bankruptcy, and estate planning. She assists clients facing major life transitions, offering clear guidance and practical solutions during moments of uncertainty. Her work emphasizes careful planning, attention to detail, and steady support, allowing clients to make informed decisions with confidence.
Tracy’s professional achievements include the Elite Lawyer designation in Bankruptcy and Family Law for 2024 and 2025, the Best of Business Award for Family Law in York County in 2024, and the Client Champion Award from 2021–2022. She has also received Expertise Awards in Bankruptcy, Family, and Probate Law.
Tracy began her legal career in corporate law with a Fortune 500 Company in Michigan before returning to South Carolina. She later worked with South Carolina Legal Services, representing individuals in matters involving domestic violence, foreclosure, unemployment benefits, evictions, social security, and bankruptcy, and handling trials for South Carolina DSS.
Tracy has also played a significant role in legal training and public service. She served as Lead Attorney Trainer at the Children’s Law Center at the University of South Carolina School of Law and remains active in the South Carolina Family Court Inn of Court and South Carolina Bankruptcy Inn of Court.
