Torree J. Breen is a shareholder, Managing Partner, and President of the Board of Directors at Willingham & Coté, P.C. She has more than 20 years of legal experience. She leads the firm’s Estate Planning and Family Law Practice Groups. Her work focuses on helping individuals and families plan for the future, protect assets, and resolve complex legal matters with clarity and confidence. She regularly represents clients in estate planning, probate matters, and family law matters throughout Michigan.
Ms. Breen earned her B.A., Magna Cum Laude, from Alma College in 1997. She later received her J.D., Cum Laude, from Michigan State University –College of Law in 2000. Her academic background reflects strong legal training and a foundation in careful analysis, writing, and advocacy that continues to guide her professional work.
Ms. Breen has drafted wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, durable powers of attorney, medical power of attorney designations, electronic account directives, and funeral representative documents throughout her career. In family law matters, she assists clients with divorce, child custody disputes, prenuptial agreements, and guardianship and conservatorship cases. Her approach emphasizes practical solutions that protect client interests while addressing legal and procedural concerns involved in sensitive matters.
Ms. Breen is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan, as well as the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.
