About
Timothy W. Durkin is an Arizona family law attorney who has represented hundreds of individuals and families. His practice covers divorce, child support, spousal maintenance, paternity, and mediation. He focuses on high-conflict and high-asset divorces while also handling less complicated family law matters. His work helps clients address sensitive legal and financial issues with careful preparation and practical guidance.
Tim earned a Bachelor of Arts from Brigham Young University in 1986, followed by a Master of Arts in History from Utah State University in 1992. He received his Juris Doctor from Capital University Law School in 2000, where he earned Order of Curia honors. His academic background supports the analysis, communication, and sound judgment required in complex family law matters.
Tim joined his current practice in 2010 and later became a shareholder. His experience includes representing clients in contested divorces and other family disputes involving financial questions, parenting concerns, support obligations, and paternity. He also works with parties through mediation, giving clients an opportunity to resolve disagreements outside a fully contested court process. This range of experience allows him to adapt his approach to each family’s circumstances.
Timothy W. Durkin is admitted to the State Bar of Arizona and the United States District Court for the District of Arizona. He serves as a Judge Pro Tempore and belongs to the American Bar Association and the Maricopa County Bar Association’s Family Division.
