Timothy Galusha is a partner at Thompson Welch Soroko & Gilbert LLP, where he focuses his practice on real estate transactions, business and partnership law, and property tax matters. With decades of legal experience, he provides trusted counsel to individuals, businesses, and fiduciaries throughout California.
Timothy earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of California at Berkeley in 1990 and his Juris Doctor from the University of California College of the Law (formerly UC Hastings) in 1993. During law school, he externed with the California Court of Appeal under Justice Ming Chin, who later served on the California Supreme Court.
Timothy is widely recognized for his expertise in California property tax law, including Proposition 13 and reassessment issues. Since 2003, he has lectured extensively on these topics and co-authored the article “Understanding Property Tax Treatment of Trusts” in Trusts and Estates Quarterly.
As a member of the State Bar of California’s Real Property and Business Law Sections, the San Francisco Bar Association, and the Marin County Bar Association, Timothy remains actively engaged in the legal community. He served as Co-Chair of the Marin Bar’s Real Property Section from 2011 to 2015.
In addition to his practice, Timothy has volunteered his services pro bono with Marin Legal Aid for over two decades. His commitment to legal education and public service reflects his dedication to both the profession and the community.
