Timothy Bianchi

Timothy Bianchi is a principal at Schwegman Lundberg & Woessner, P.A. in Minnesota. His intellectual property practice focuses on patent procurement, patent challenges, legal opinions, due diligence, acquisitions, and patent litigation strategy. Bianchi represents patent owners and petitioners in inter partes reviews, reexaminations, and other post-grant proceedings, including matters connected to concurrent litigation. His technical work spans medical devices, signal processing, communication electronics, computer hardware, software, and related technologies.

Bianchi earned his J.D. magna cum laude from William Mitchell College of Law in 1994. He received an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Minnesota in 1988 and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the same university in 1986, both with honors. His engineering background includes research and technical experience with IBM, Honeywell, and the University of Minnesota, providing a strong foundation for evaluating complex inventions and patent issues.

Bianchi advises clients on patent prosecution and enforcement strategies and has represented parties in numerous proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.
