Tim Francavilla

Tim Francavilla is a Memphis litigation attorney with more than 25 years of experience handling criminal and civil matters. His practice places a strong emphasis on criminal defense, DUI cases, personal injury claims, and family law matters. He represents clients in courts across West Tennessee and approaches each case with careful attention to the client’s circumstances, legal needs, and goals.

Tim earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology, cum laude, from Colgate University in 1994. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law in 1997, where he earned a CALI Excellence for the Future Award for the highest overall grade in a business law class. He is also certified in DWI Detection and Standardized Field Sobriety Testing.

Tim was admitted to the Tennessee Bar in 1997 and has practiced continuously as a litigation attorney since that time. His experience includes matters in federal court, criminal and civil courts throughout Shelby County, courts in several surrounding Tennessee counties, and local municipal courts. He has briefed and argued legal issues before the Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals and has briefed an issue presented to the Tennessee Supreme Court. He has also served as Bartlett Municipal Judge since 2016.
