Thomas W. Costello

Thomas W. Costello is the founding partner of Costello Valente Group, P.C. in Brattleboro, Vermont. His practice covers civil litigation, criminal law, personal injury, family law, and estate and trust matters. Most of his practice is devoted to litigation, reflecting a career centered on contested civil, criminal, and family matters in Vermont courts. He is admitted in Vermont, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts.

Thomas earned a J.D. from Boston University School of Law and a B.A. from St. Michael’s College. He was admitted to the Vermont bar in 1974 and later gained admission in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. He is also admitted to the US District Court for the District of Vermont, the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and the US Supreme Court.

Thomas has practiced law in Vermont for decades and represents clients across a broad mix of litigation.
