About

Thomas Miscio is an associate at Bergen Parkinson and a member of the firm’s civil litigation practice group. He represents individuals, partnerships, corporations, and other entities in a wide range of disputes. His practice primarily focuses on construction litigation, landlord-tenant law, and property disputes. He joined Bergen Parkinson in 2019 after substantial prosecutorial and civil-practice experience, bringing courtroom familiarity to matters that require careful case development and practical litigation strategy.

Thomas earned a Juris Doctor from UNH School of Law in 2004 and studied Political Science at St. Michael’s College, graduating in 1999. His legal education supported a career that began in criminal prosecution and later expanded into private civil practice. That background helps him evaluate evidence, organize disputed facts, prepare for hearings and trials, and advise clients about litigation choices in construction, property, landlord-tenant, and other civil matters.

Thomas began his legal career as a prosecutor in the Strafford County Attorney’s Office domestic violence unit before moving to felony prosecution. He later prosecuted criminal matters at the Carroll County Attorney’s Office and handled bench and jury trials. After moving to Maine in 2012, he worked at the York County District Attorney’s Office for six years, handling domestic violence matters through hearings and jury trials before returning to civil practice.

Thomas Miscio re-entered civil practice in 2019, first handling foreclosure litigation at Bendett & McHugh and then joining Bergen Parkinson. His earlier private-practice experience included family matters, civil litigation, and criminal defense. He is admitted in Maine, New Hampshire, and federal district court. His combined prosecution and civil-litigation background supports a disciplined approach to contested matters involving property, construction, leases, and other disputes where evidence, procedure, and negotiation all matter.
