Thomas C. Clemens

Thomas C. Clemens is Of Counsel to Goldstein Mehta LLC and a Philadelphia criminal defense attorney with extensive courtroom experience. He represents people charged with crimes ranging from misdemeanors to serious felonies. His work includes matters involving violent crimes, sex offenses, theft, juvenile cases, white collar allegations, drug charges, gun charges, and DUI offenses. His defense practice draws on years of trial work and a detailed approach to reviewing evidence, witness statements, investigations, and prosecution strategy.

Tom earned his law degree from Temple University‘s James E. Beasley School of Law in 2010 while attending the evening program and working full time as a business development manager for an international corporation. He completed his undergraduate studies at Saint Joseph’s University. His education, combined with professional experience outside law, developed practical skills in analysis, communication, and problem solving. Those skills support his ability to explain criminal charges clearly and evaluate complex factual records in contested cases.

Tom previously served for six and a half years as an Assistant District Attorney with the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, where he prosecuted major crimes. His experience included dozens of jury trials, hundreds of bench trials, suppression motions, evidentiary motions, preliminary hearings, bail matters, sentencings, and post-trial proceedings. He handled cases involving attempted murder, aggravated assault, shootings, stabbings, robbery, sexual assault, burglary, drug distribution, firearms charges, theft, fraud, forgery, DUI, and drug possession.

Thomas C. Clemens is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
