Theodore Swanson Ramirez

Theodore Swanson Ramirez is the founder and managing attorney of Resolute Trials, APC, in La Crescenta, California. He is a veteran trial lawyer with more than 20 years of experience practicing in Los Angeles and surrounding communities. He represents survivors of criminal defense law, sex trafficking and sexual abuse, people charged with crimes, consumers with defective vehicles, and individuals pursuing personal injury claims. He also assists solo attorneys and small firms that need experienced counsel to prepare and try complex cases.

Theodore earned his J.D. from the University of Michigan in 2001 and his B.A. from University of California, Los Angeles, in 1997. He is licensed to practice in all California state courts. He is also admitted before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Central, and Southern Districts of California.

Theodore began his career as an associate attorney at Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton. He later joined the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office to gain greater trial experience. He advanced to Deputy in Charge of the office’s Human Sex Trafficking Section, where he prosecuted serious cases and worked to hold offenders accountable. He later served as senior trial counsel at Knight Law, where he handled lemon law litigation and completed more trials in one year than any other attorney in that office.

Theodore brings experience in both civil and criminal law to every stage of a case. He evaluates evidence, develops persuasive case themes, prepares witnesses, addresses difficult legal issues, and presents arguments to judges and juries. He has first-chaired more than 120 trials in Los Angeles, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties. He also uses his courtroom background to help other lawyers move cases from preparation through verdict.

Theodore Swanson Ramirez combines extensive trial experience with a practice focused on accountability and meaningful results. He serves on the board of Saving Innocence, an organization supporting human trafficking survivors. He also maintains affiliations with the American Board of Trial Advocates, the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles, and the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
