About

Tesha M. Peeples is a Houston family lawyer and shareholder who represents clients in divorce, child custody, custody modification, paternity, grandparent rights, asset division, and related family law matters. Board certified in family law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, she approaches each case by listening carefully, analyzing the client’s circumstances, and presenting the client’s position persuasively. Her practice combines detailed preparation with compassionate advocacy in negotiations and at trial.

Peeples earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law Center, where she developed strong advocacy and dispute resolution skills through competitive mock trials and alternative dispute resolution competitions. She was one of ten students elected to the Order of Barristers, a national honorary organization focused on oral advocacy and brief writing. She also served as chief articles editor of the Journal of Consumer and Commercial Law.

Peeples has represented notable public interest figures, professional athletes, and other prominent sports figures in sensitive family law matters, handling their cases with careful attention to privacy. She has successfully resolved more than half a dozen grandparent conservatorship cases and has first-chair trial experience in family law. Her work spans contested and complex disputes in which clients need clear guidance, thorough case development, and a strong voice throughout the legal process.

Tesha M. Peeples has earned professional recognition for her family law work and client service. She was selected to Super Lawyers’ Texas Rising Stars list in family law from 2018 through 2022, named a Houstonia Top Lawyer from 2019 through 2022, and recognized among the Top Women Attorneys in Texas for 2024.
