Tatiana J. Hackman

Tatiana J. Hackman is an associate attorney at ABST Law in Fargo, North Dakota, where she focuses primarily on family law. She works on matters affecting parents, children, and family relationships and is certified to serve as a Parenting Investigator and Guardian Ad Litem in North Dakota. Her practice draws on courtroom advocacy and legal research, including experience gained through a clerkship with the North Dakota Supreme Court.

Tatiana received a B.A. in Political Science from the University of North Dakota in 2016, graduating magna cum laude. She earned her J.D. from the University of North Dakota School of Law in 2021, also magna cum laude. She was Editor in Chief of the North Dakota Law Review, participated in trial and moot court activities, and was inducted into the Order of the Coif and Order of Barristers.

Tatiana served as a law clerk to Chief Justice Jon J. Jensen of the North Dakota Supreme Court before joining private practice. During law school, she also completed an externship with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of North Dakota and worked as a Fargo summer associate. Those roles strengthened her experience in legal writing, evaluating disputed issues, and preparing arguments that require close attention to procedure and evidence.

Tatiana J. Hackman is admitted in North Dakota and Minnesota state courts and the U.S. District Court for the District of North Dakota. She received Great Plains Rising Stars recognition in 2025 and 2026. She also participates in the State Bar Association of North Dakota’s Family Law Section. Her academic achievements and judicial experience support her work on sensitive family law matters.
