Talia Lewis

Talia Lewis is a trial attorney with Hersh Kirtman Injury Law in Boca Raton, Florida. Her personal injury practice focuses on representing people harmed by negligence in car crashes, premises incidents, medical malpractice, construction defects, and roadway defect cases. Lewis draws on substantial courtroom experience when preparing claims and advocating for injured clients. Lewis earned her J.D. cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law in 2021. She received a Dean’s Merit Scholarship, was a Summer Public Interest Fellow, and earned Dean’s Certificate of Achievement awards in Torts and Legislation. She completed her undergraduate studies at Florida Atlantic University summa cum laude in 2018, where she studied social work. Her academic background supports a practice requiring careful research, client communication, and trial preparation.

Before joining Hersh Kirtman Injury Law, Lewis served for three years as an assistant public defender in Palm Beach County. She defended hundreds of people facing criminal prosecution and tried more than 30 jury trials before 11 different judges. She also argued novel legal issues in support of her clients’ defenses. That experience gave her extensive exposure to courtroom procedure, witness examination, legal argument, and the demands of representing individuals in high-stakes proceedings.

Talia Lewis now applies her trial experience to personal injury litigation involving car accidents, slip-and-fall and trip-and-fall incidents, medical negligence, and construction and roadway defects. Her published legal scholarship has addressed homelessness, international human rights, racism, and religious bigotry.
