Susan Hegge

Susan Hegge is a New Jersey appellate attorney who co-founded her legal practice, Hegge & Confusione, LLC, in 1999. Her work is devoted exclusively to appellate law, where she assists clients seeking review of decisions made in lower courts for civil and criminal cases. She brings a focused approach to matters that require written advocacy, legal research, and analysis of trial records. Before establishing her appellate practice, she was associated with Starr, Gern, Davison & Rubin in Roseland, New Jersey.

Ms. Hegge earned a J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law – Camden and a B.S. in Administration of Justice from Pennsylvania State University. During law school, she served on the Hunter Advanced Moot Court Team and participated in the Bankruptcy Project. She completed a judicial externship with the Honorable Robert B. Kugler of the US District Court for the District of New Jersey. As an undergraduate, she made the University Dean’s List and completed minors in Spanish and Sociology.

Ms. Hegge concentrates her legal work on appeals and is admitted to the New Jersey Bar. Her appellate practice involves evaluating lower-court decisions and identifying issues that can support appellate review.
