Stevin J. Groth

Stevin J. Groth is the founder and lead attorney at Groth & Associates, a full-service law firm serving Northwest Ohio. With a legal career spanning decades, he is widely known for his courtroom command, fierce client advocacy, and success in both criminal defense and complex civil litigation. From high-profile murder trials to multi-million-dollar injury verdicts, he brings unmatched experience and poise to every case.

Before founding Groth & Associates in 2001, Stevin served as an Assistant Prosecutor for Lucas County, where he handled felony criminal prosecutions and represented county agencies in civil matters. He later became a founding partner at a prominent Toledo law firm, sharpening his litigation skills across multiple practice areas.

Stevin holds a Bachelor of Arts from U.C. Davis (1985), a Master of Science from St. Thomas University (1987), and a Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School (1994). He has also completed advanced doctoral coursework (“ABD”) in Education Administration at the University of Southern California.

Licensed in Ohio and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio, as well as the Southern District of Michigan, Stevin has litigated cases across Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, and California. His wide-ranging practice includes criminal defense, wrongful death, sex crimes, murder trials, and civil actions against government institutions and corporations.
