Steven P. Lipowski

Steven P. Lipowski is a business attorney with more than 25 years of legal experience advising companies on a broad range of commercial matters. His practice centers on helping business owners, executives, and organizations address important legal challenges through practical and efficient solutions. He focuses on providing guidance that aligns with business goals while helping clients make informed decisions in complex situations.

Steve earned a B.A. (with distinction) from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 1997. During his undergraduate studies, he was recognized through Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi. He later earned a J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School – Madison in 2000. While attending law school, he served as Senior Note and Comment Editor for the Wisconsin Environmental Law Journal, further strengthening his legal research and writing skills.

Steve advises clients across many areas of business law, including mergers and acquisitions, commercial and corporate law, and commercial real estate matters. His work often involves helping businesses navigate transactions, structure agreements, and address legal concerns that arise during growth, expansion, and ownership changes. He approaches each matter with a focus on practical outcomes and long-term value.

Steve has represented both purchasers and sellers in a variety of merger and acquisition transactions. He has also assisted businesses and developers with commercial real estate development projects, leasing arrangements, acquisitions, sales, development agreements, and significant purchase and sale transactions. His experience allows him to guide clients through matters that require careful planning, negotiation, and execution.

Steve regularly works with family-owned and closely held businesses on corporate, contractual, and real estate issues. In addition, he assists companies with trademark prosecution, e-commerce matters, intellectual property licensing agreements, and other transactional intellectual property concerns. By combining business knowledge with legal insight, he helps clients protect their interests and move forward with confidence.
