Steven P. Handelin

Steven P. Handelin is the founder and president of Handelin Law, LTD, a respected law firm serving Carson City and nearby Nevada communities. He focuses his practice on estate planning, business law, real estate matters, litigation, and asset protection. Through clear guidance and strong legal strategy, he helps individuals, families, and small business owners protect their rights, property, and long-term interests. Steven completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Nevada, Reno. He earned  Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Marketing in 2001, with minors in Economics and Computer Information Systems. He later earned his J.D. from the University of Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, in 2005. His legal education included a concentration in Intellectual Property, which strengthened his analytical and problem-solving skills across complex legal matters.

Steven, after completing his education, built a broad legal career through hands-on courtroom and advisory experience. He clerked for the Honorable William A. Maddox in the First Judicial District Court, gaining valuable insight into judicial process and procedure. He also worked as an associate attorney, handling a wide range of legal matters, including representing public entities, business clients, and private individuals.

Steven has helped clients draft and update estate plans, form and advise businesses, resolve contract disputes, and manage real property matters throughout his career. He assists clients during difficult transitions by providing clear explanations and dependable legal support.
