Steven J. Lies

Steven J. Lies is a Wahpeton, North Dakota attorney with a long career associated with Lies & Bullis. His practice has included municipal law, personal injury, civil litigation, insurance defense, and toxic tort matters. Steven served as North Dakota Deputy Secretary of State from 1972 to 1973. His municipal work has included serving as city attorney for Wahpeton and multiple surrounding communities. He has also represented clients in civil litigation, personal injury, and insurance defense matters. These roles required familiarity with government operations, local laws, and the courtroom procedures involved in resolving disputes among individuals, businesses, and public bodies.

Steven J. Lies has served as president of the North Dakota City Attorneys Association and the Richland County Bar Association. His professional involvement also includes state bar groups and municipal law organizations.
