Steve Benedetto

Steve Benedetto is a respected civil rights attorney and the founding partner of The People’s Law Firm, PLC, located in Phoenix, Arizona. His extensive legal career is built on a strong educational foundation and a commitment to justice.

Steve earned his J.D. from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University in 2003, graduating with honors. He holds a B.A. from Villanova University and double-majored in Political Science and English.

After completing law school, Steve began his career as a judicial clerk for a Justice of the Arizona Supreme Court. Following his clerkship, Steve joined several prominent corporate law firms, where he represented major companies in complex litigation. He handled high-stakes cases involving medical malpractice, personal injury, and corporate fraud, gaining valuable experience and insight into defending powerful entities.

In 2009, Steve shifted his focus to representing individuals. He co-founded a law firm that prioritized criminal defense and civil claims, dedicating himself to helping people harmed by the actions of others. However, Steve sought to address broader injustices. In 2014, he founded The People’s Law Firm, a practice committed to civil rights litigation. His firm specializes in holding institutions accountable for systemic wrongs and advocating for those whose rights have been violated.

He has provided critical support to survivors of civil rights violations while advocating for systemic reform. Licensed to practice in Arizona, California, and Colorado, Steve is also admitted to several federal courts, including the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.
