Stephen H. Gordon

Stephen H. Gordon is the founder and president of The Gordon Law Firm, P.C., in San Antonio, Texas. He handles bankruptcy, criminal defense, family law, general civil litigation, personal injury, and wills and probate matters. His bankruptcy work includes Chapters 7, 11, and 13, while his criminal practice covers DWI charges and other offenses. Gordon advises individuals and families facing financial difficulties, legal disputes, and important changes in their personal circumstances.

Gordon earned his J.D. from St. Mary’s University School of Law in 1998, graduating in the top ten percent of his class. He served as a staff writer and editor of the St. Mary’s Law Journal and received the Corpus Juris Secundum Award for his performance in torts. He previously earned a B.A. in Political Science and Psychology from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 1995.

Admitted to the Texas Bar in 1998, Gordon has more than 25 years of experience as a trial lawyer. He previously interned at the Texas Fourth Court of Appeals and practices in Texas state courts and federal courts in the Western District of Texas. His work includes debt relief and bankruptcy filings, divorce and child custody matters, criminal cases, civil disputes, and estate planning concerns requiring careful preparation and courtroom judgment.

Gordon has received recognition from the State Bar of Texas for legal writing, including awards for a human interest story and a series on mental health issues. He has also been recognized by the State Bar’s Pro Bono College for service to low-income clients. A member of several San Antonio legal associations, Stephen H.
