Stephanie attended the University of Texas at Austin for college. She earned her law degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas. During law school, she worked as a criminal law clerk and completed an internship with the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals.
Stephanie gained early criminal defense experience in San Antonio after passing the Texas Bar Examination. She worked at the Law Offices of Jamie Balagia, also known as “The DWI Dude.” During that time, she handled a high-volume criminal docket and represented many clients charged with drug and intoxication offenses.
Stephanie was promoted to Managing Attorney of all Administrative License Revocation hearings for the San Antonio office. Her experience with ALR hearings also led her to co-author LexisNexis Practice Guide: Texas Drunk Driving Laws. This work reflects her strong focus on DWI defense and related license matters.
In 2017, Stephanie opened her own law practice. She now focuses exclusively on criminal defense, with her principal office located in downtown San Angelo, Texas. She is also licensed to practice in the United States District Court for the Northern and Western Districts of Texas.
