Stephanie F. Freeman is a partner who defends high-exposure, complex medical malpractice claims. She represents health care systems, hospitals, nursing homes, doctors, nurses, and other health care professionals. Her work focuses on careful case management, strong defense strategy, and effective advocacy in serious health care litigation.

Stephanie earned her J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, Yeshiva University, in 2004. She also completed the Intensive Trial Advocacy Program and worked with the Bet Tzedek Legal Services Clinic. She earned her B.B.A. from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School in 2001.

Stephanie is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey. She represents major New York hospitals and large health care systems in surrounding counties. Her clients include specialists such as cardiologists, gastroenterologists, infectious disease physicians, neurologists, ophthalmologists, surgeons, and vascular disease physicians.

Stephanie manages medical malpractice litigation from inception to disposition. Her work includes appearing in court, drafting motions, leading and defending depositions, conducting mediations, and preparing cases for trial. Stephanie has drafted successful motions for summary judgment and dismissal in cases involving high sustainable value. She has also second-chaired six cases in New York State Supreme Court that resulted in defense verdicts. Her trial support and motion practice reflect careful preparation and steady courtroom skill.
