Sonya R. Burke is a shareholder in Modrall Sperling’s Litigation group, where she concentrates her practice on insurance coverage defense and civil litigation. She represents insurance carriers and their insureds in complex disputes, offering trusted counsel in matters involving professional liability, employment law, and breach of contract.
Sonya earned her Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law in 2012. During law school, she served as the Administrative Editor of the BU Public Interest Law Journal and represented indigent defendants through the BU Criminal Clinic. She holds a B.A. in English with a French minor from the University of Texas at Austin.
In her legal practice, Sonya has successfully defended realtors, attorneys, and contractors in professional liability claims. She is also experienced in construction and design litigation, EEOC investigations, and disputes involving employment and contractual obligations.
