Simone’ Alston Williams

Simone’ Alston Williams is a seasoned attorney with over two decades of legal experience in North Carolina. Her practice primarily focuses on family law, but she also brings expertise in appellate advocacy and estate planning. She is known for her compassionate representation and deep dedication to justice.

Ms. Williams earned her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania in 1991. She then received her Juris Doctor from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 1994. She was admitted to the North Carolina Bar in the same year and to the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina in 1995.

Ms. Williams’ legal career began with public service roles, including Assistant Attorney General, Assistant County Attorney for Durham County, and Police Attorney for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. Since 2003, Ms. Williams has run a successful private practice, where she represents clients in family law disputes, drafts wills, and handles civil appeals before North Carolina’s appellate courts.

In addition to her legal work, Ms. Williams is a dedicated educator and community leader. She has served as an Adjunct Professor at the Charlotte School of Law, teaching Evidence, Family Law, and Professional Responsibility. Her civic involvement includes volunteer attorney roles with the Council for Children’s Rights and Safe Alliance, where she has earned the Commitment to Justice Award for three consecutive years.

Simone’ Alston Williams is a member of numerous professional and civic organizations, including the John S. Leary Bar Association, the North Carolina Association of Women Attorneys, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
