Sheri D. Coover

Sheri D. Coover is a Pennsylvania family law lawyer and founding attorney of her own practice, where she represents individuals and families. Her practice includes divorce, child custody, adoption, guardianship, protection orders, wills, estates, and Social Security Disability appeals. She has handled complex family cases across Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lebanon, Perry, and York counties. Through practical guidance, she helps clients understand court procedures, legal options, and the possible effects of important family decisions.

Sheri earned an Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies from Harrisburg Area Community College in 1999. She received a Bachelor of Science in Public Policy from Pennsylvania State University in 2001. She earned her Juris Doctor from the Dickinson School of Law in 2004, where she focused her studies on tax law. Her education strengthened her research, writing, analysis, and ability to address matters involving family relationships, property, benefits, and long-term planning. She was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in 2004.

Sheri worked for the Cumberland County Courthouse for six years before attending law school. She later built extensive experience representing clients in divorce, custody, abuse findings, and Children and Youth Services proceedings. In 2017, she became a Cumberland County Custody Conciliator, helping parents pursue agreements that support their children’s best interests. She was a partner at a prior legal practice before establishing her own practice in March 2019. Her experience also includes successfully appealing Social Security benefit denials for hundreds of clients.

Sheri D. Coover serves as court-appointed counsel in juvenile dependency and delinquency matters, and she has acted as guardian ad litem for children. Her public service also includes work as solicitor for Cumberland County Children and Youth Services. She brings detailed preparation, courtroom knowledge, and practical judgment to matters involving children, property, protection, and financial stability.
