About
Shelby Stover is an attorney at Kovacich Snipes Johnson who represents plaintiffs in personal injury litigation. Her work is supported by prior experience in family law and estate law, along with early prosecutorial exposure through an internship at the Cascade County Attorney’s Office. She joined Montana practice after law school and now works within a plaintiff-focused firm handling serious personal injury law claims for individuals and families across Montana today and beyond.
Shelby earned her J.D., with honors, from Gonzaga University School of Law in 2020. She previously earned her B.S. in Legal Studies from the University of Providence. During her final semester of law school, she returned to Montana and interned with the Cascade County Attorney’s Office under the Montana Student Practice Rule. Her education and practical training prepared her for litigation, client counseling, and case evaluation in varied legal settings.
After graduating from law school and gaining admission to the Montana Bar, Shelby practiced family law and estate law at a small firm in Great Falls. That experience gave her a foundation in client counseling, legal drafting, and handling matters with significant personal and financial consequences. At Kovacich Snipes Johnson, her practice shifted toward plaintiff-side litigation, including personal injury matters recognized by Best Lawyers in its Ones to Watch listings.
Shelby Stover is a member of the Montana Trial Lawyers Association, the Montana State Bar, and the Cascade County Bar Association. Her professional recognition includes Best Lawyers in America, Ones to Watch, for 2025 through 2027 and Lawdragon 500 X – The Next Generation for 2025 and 2026. Through her current practice, she continues building experience in plaintiff advocacy, litigation preparation, and representation for clients pursuing recovery after serious injuries statewide.
