Sheila Seck

Sheila Seck is an experienced business attorney and the Managing Partner of Seck & Associates. She focuses her practice on helping entrepreneurs, growing companies, established businesses, and investors navigate complex legal and business challenges. Throughout her career, she has provided practical legal guidance on corporate governance, founder and ownership matters, intellectual property law protection, financing transactions, securities law compliance, and business sales and acquisitions. Her approach is centered on understanding each client’s goals and delivering solutions that fit their unique needs.

Sheila earned her J.D. from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, where she ranked among the top five students in a class of 200. She was also a member of the Order of the Coif and served on the Washington University Law Quarterly. In addition, she earned an M.B.A. from Rockhurst College in Kansas City and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri, Rolla. This combination of legal, business, and technical education allows her to provide well-rounded advice to business clients.

Sheila has held leadership and advisory roles in both private practice and corporate environments over the course of her legal career. Before founding Seck & Associates in 2007, she was a partner at Warden Triplett Grier LLP. She also served as Assistant General Counsel at Honeywell International Inc., where she was a member of the Honeywell Aerospace Mergers & Acquisitions Team. Earlier in her career, she practiced law at Bryan Cave LLP and served as a law clerk for Chief Judge D. Brook Bartlett of the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri.

She guides clients through mergers, acquisitions, ownership transitions, and financing matters while helping them manage risk and achieve long-term success. Her work has earned recognition from professional organizations and peers, including multiple selections to the Missouri and Kansas Super Lawyers lists and repeated honors as one of the Best of the Bar attorneys.
