Shaquelle M. Duncan

Shaquelle M. Duncan, Esq., is the founding attorney of Duncan Law, PLLC. She focuses her practice on criminal law and complex trust, guardianship, and estate litigation matters. Her work reflects a disciplined, detail-driven approach shaped by experience in trial courts, appellate advocacy, and public service. Ms. Duncan is recognized for clear legal strategy, strong courtroom presence, and commitment to fair outcomes.

Ms. Duncan earned her J.D. from Seattle University School of Law. She also holds a Master’s degree in Education Policy and Secondary Education from Johns Hopkins University. She holds a B.A. in Political Science and Philosophy from Washington State University, with minors in Criminology and Ethics. This multidisciplinary education supports her analytical reasoning, structured advocacy, and ability to address sensitive legal disputes with clarity.

During law school, Ms. Duncan placed first in the American Bar Association Moot Court Appellate Competition. She was awarded the Jeff Robinson Equity and Racial Justice Award and named a King County Bar Association Scholar. Ms. Duncan later clerked for Chief Justice Steve González at the Washington State Supreme Court and prosecuted cases with the Seattle City Attorney’s Office and King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.

Shaquelle M. Duncan is admitted to practice in Washington State and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington. She is an instructor and faculty member with the National Institute for Trial Advocacy, teaching trial and deposition skills to attorneys nationwide.
