About
Shannon L. Boudreaux is a skilled and determined Texas family law attorney with over two decades of experience representing clients in challenging divorce and custody matters. She is known for helping individuals protect their families, secure parenting rights, and achieve favorable court outcomes, even in emotionally intense and highly disputed situations.
Shannon earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Sociology, and Criminology from the University of Houston – Clear Lake in 1998. She went on to complete her Master of Science in Criminal Justice at Sam Houston State University in 2000. In 2003, she obtained her Doctor of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law, forming the foundation of her legal expertise.
Shannon focuses her practice on a wide range of family law matters, including contested divorces, child custody disputes, custody modifications, court order enforcement, and cohabitation agreements. She also assists clients with prenups, postnups, LGBTQ-related legal matters, adoptions, surrogacy, mediation, and pet custody. Her wide scope of services ensures tailored representation for every client’s needs.
Shannon has built a strong reputation for her courtroom experience, taking difficult cases to trial when necessary. In one jury trial, she successfully helped reunite a father with his daughters, who were allowed to return home with him the same night. In several other matters, she secured 50/50 visitation rights for fathers, even in cases where such outcomes were rarely granted.
Shannon brings insight and guidance to modern family structures, including LGBTQIA+ families and unmarried couples. She handles “no-nuptial” agreements and same-sex divorce matters with care, even as Texas law in these areas remains unclear and at times contradictory.
Shannon L. Boudreaux continues to be a fierce advocate for her clients and a recognized leader in family law. Her commitment to achieving results, no matter how complex the case, sets her apart as a trusted ally during life’s most personal legal battles.
