Sean P. Casey

Sean P. Casey is a partner at Kohl & Cook Law Firm, LLC, where he represents clients in consumer protection, foreclosure defense, and civil litigation. With a career rooted in trial advocacy, he brings years of experience from insurance defense and general practice to his client-centered work today.

Sean began his career as a journalist, earning a degree in Journalism from Ohio State University. He worked as a reporter and editor before pursuing law at Capital University Law School, where he graduated cum laude. During law school, he served as an associate editor of the law review and clerked for judges at the Franklin County Municipal Court.

Following graduation, Sean joined an innovative Columbus Bar Association incubator for new solo practitioners, handling a range of legal issues from real estate to probate and business law. He later spent several years defending commercial carriers in wrongful death and bodily injury claims before returning to his roots in consumer advocacy.

Sean now leverages his broad litigation background to serve individuals, families, and small businesses facing financial hardship or legal disputes. His practice focuses on loan modifications, mortgage servicing violations, creditor harassment, and other consumer rights violations.

Sean is admitted to practice in Ohio and in both the Northern and Southern U.S. District Courts of Ohio.
