Scott T. Witthuhn

Scott T. Witthuhn focuses his practice on commercial real estate and corporate transactions. He advises clients on complex deals involving office, retail, hotel, industrial, and multifamily properties. His work spans leasing, acquisitions, development projects, and financing matters, helping clients structure transactions that align with their business goals.

Scott earned a B.A. in Economics from Yale University in 2009. He later received his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law in 2012, where he was the Recipient of the Archibald R. Murray Public Service Award. His education provided a strong foundation in business strategy and legal analysis.

Scott represents both landlords and tenants in office, retail, and mixed-use leasing transactions. He has handled headquarters leases exceeding 400,000 rentable square feet and has guided tenants in transactions ranging from under 10,000 to over 50,000 rentable square feet. He also advises clients on the acquisition and disposition of significant commercial assets, including major office properties in Connecticut.

Scott works closely with lenders and borrowers in commercial real estate financings. He has represented institutional real estate firms in connection with mortgage financing and refinancing transactions, including large-scale projects in Fairfield County. His experience also includes secured lending transactions involving partnership, LLC, and corporation interests, as well as unique collateral such as fine art, aircraft, and yachts.

Scott advises financial institutions, businesses, and high-net-worth individuals on a range of corporate and contractual matters. These include joint venture agreements, master services agreements, sponsorship agreements, and license agreements. He is admitted to practice in New York and Connecticut and has been recognized as a Connecticut and New England Super Lawyers Rising Star and in The Best Lawyers in America, “Ones to Watch.”
