About

Scott Rose is a criminal defense attorney at Rose Law Firm in Bismarck, North Dakota. He represents individuals facing serious state and federal criminal charges, with a practice that includes homicide, manslaughter, drug crimes, white-collar offenses, domestic violence, DUI matters, and other felony and misdemeanor cases. Scott approaches each case with a focus on protecting the client’s rights, examining the evidence, and preparing a strong defense for negotiations, hearings, or trial.

Scott earned his Juris Doctor from Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan. He later completed the Gerry Spence Trial Lawyers College’s four-week intensive trial advocacy program in Dubois, Wyoming, in 2018. His legal education and advanced courtroom training support his ability to analyze complex criminal cases, develop persuasive trial strategies, and communicate a client’s position clearly before judges and juries.

Before entering private practice, Scott served as a public defender in both state and federal matters. That experience gave him practical knowledge of criminal procedure, government investigations, evidentiary issues, plea negotiations, and trial preparation. He has handled high-stakes cases involving homicide, drug conspiracies, violent offenses, financial crimes, and other serious allegations. His work includes challenging the prosecution’s evidence, identifying constitutional concerns, and helping clients understand the risks and options at each stage of a case.

Scott Rose is a former Marine Corps infantryman who deployed to Iraq in support of Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. His military service shaped the discipline, perseverance, loyalty, and commitment he brings to criminal defense. He is actively licensed in North Dakota and uses his background as a veteran, former public defender, and trained trial lawyer to provide direct, client-focused representation for people facing difficult and potentially life-changing criminal accusations.
