Scott J. Greenberg is a partner in Gibson Dunn’s New York office and serves as Global Chair of the firm’s Business Restructuring and Reorganization Practice Group. Known for leading high-stakes insolvency matters, he represents debtors and creditors in major in-court and out-of-court restructurings, especially across the retail, pharmaceutical, and technology sectors.
Mr. Greenberg earned his Juris Doctor with honors from Emory University School of Law in 2002, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif. He completed his undergraduate studies at Boston University, graduating cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1999.

Before joining Gibson Dunn, Mr. Greenberg was a partner at Jones Day, where he co-led the Business Restructuring & Reorganization practice. He began his career at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, building his foundation in restructuring law through hands-on engagements in precedent-setting cases.
