About
Ruth E. Johnson is a Miami personal injury and workers’ compensation attorney and the founder of her Miami practice. She represents people injured in car and truck accidents, motorcycle crashes, workplace incidents, and slip-and-fall accidents. Her practice also includes wrongful death matters. Her work focuses on claims involving injuries, disputed responsibility, and the financial consequences of accidents affecting individuals and families.
Ruth earned a B.A. from the University of Toronto in 1996 and a J.D. from the University of Florida College of Law in 1999. She also participated in a 1998 summer program at the University of Montpellier in France. Her legal education preceded work in prosecution, public-sector law, and insurance defense, experiences that inform how she approaches accident claims and contested injury cases.
Ruth previously worked as an assistant state attorney in Broward County, an assistant city attorney in the City of Miami Attorney’s Office, and a staff attorney for Travelers Insurance Company. These roles exposed her to litigation and the handling of legal claims from different perspectives. In her personal injury practice, she handles disputes arising from road accidents, on-the-job injuries, and unsafe premises.
Ruth E. Johnson has professional affiliations with the National Association of Consumer Advocates, Florida Association of Female Lawyers, Dade County Bar Association, and South Miami/Kendall Bar Association. Her experience representing government and insurance interests, together with her work for injured individuals, gives her familiarity with the issues raised by contested claims. She focuses on professional and ethical representation for clients pursuing compensation following injuries and accidents.
