About
Scott Cole is a Brunswick-based partner whose practice spans business transactions, dental practice sales, environmental permitting, land use, utilities, construction, and governmental matters across Georgia. He works with companies, professional practices, public entities, and project teams that need practical legal guidance through complex negotiations and regulatory issues.
Scott earned a degree in Civil Engineering from Vanderbilt University and later received his law degree from Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law. That foundation helps him understand infrastructure, development, environmental, and business issues from both practical and legal perspectives. As a senior member of the Business Transactions practice group, he advises dental and medical office owners, technology companies, communications businesses, energy providers, and other corporate clients. His work includes entity selection, organizational structuring, nondisclosure agreements, licensing, financing, due diligence, mergers and acquisitions, severance negotiations, and other carefully managed business transactions.
Scott has particular experience assisting dentists and dental groups with sales, restructurings, and dental support organization arrangements. His representative work includes preparing structures for multi-office practices, advising sellers in transactions with regional and national DSOs, and guiding buyers through practice acquisitions, minority ownership purchases, and operational transitions between parties. In public-sector and governmental work, he has served as outside counsel to local entities and currently serves as city attorney for Mansfield, Georgia.
Scott Cole also chairs the Environmental, Mass Torts, and Land Use practice group and has more than 17 years of experience with water supply, environmental, and local government matters. Through his work with companies, professional practices, governments, and utilities, he supports clients seeking efficient agreements, responsible development, reliable water resources, and durable, practical solutions to complex legal project challenges.
