Scott Barrett

Scott Barrett is the founder of S. Barrett, P.C. and a strategic business attorney with more than 25 years of experience. He combines legal knowledge with real-world business leadership, helping startups and small to mid-sized companies align legal strategy with practical business goals and long-term growth plans.

Scott’s education reflects a strong blend of law, finance, and business strategy. He earned his Juris Doctor on the Dean’s List from Washington University. He also holds a Master of Business Administration in International Business from the University of St. Thomas’ Cameron School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Houston.

Scott is admitted to practice law in Texas and Nebraska, as well as all four Federal District Courts in Texas and the Nebraska District. His legal background includes serving as in-house counsel, General Counsel for a multinational transportation company, and Managing Attorney for a multi-state real estate and bankruptcy firm.

As a practicing attorney, Scott focuses on transactional and corporate matters, business formation, and estate planning for individuals. His work includes contracts, private placements, joint ventures, employment agreements, entity structuring, and advising clients on reducing legal risk while supporting operational and financial objectives.
