Sarah L. Fowler focuses her legal practice on bankruptcy, commercial litigation, financial restructuring, and business transactions. She works with lenders, creditors, debtors, trustees, and small business owners facing financial and operational challenges. Her experience includes handling loan workouts, foreclosures, liquidations, and commercial disputes in both state and federal courts. She also assists clients with out-of-court negotiations and practical business solutions.
Sarah earned her degree from Marion College (now Marion University) in 2008, graduating summa cum laude. She later earned her Juris Doctor from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2012, graduating cum laude. Her educational background helped build a strong foundation in business law, financial matters, and commercial litigation. She has been licensed to practice law in Indiana since 2012 and in Kentucky since 2020.
Sarah regularly represents creditors, debtors, trustees, and lenders in bankruptcy proceedings involving all chapters of bankruptcy law. Her work includes litigation involving voidable transfers, discharge disputes, tax-related claims, and claim reclassification matters. She also prepares and reviews loan agreements, promissory notes, deeds, mortgages, easements, releases, lease agreements, and business contracts. A significant portion of her work involves agricultural businesses, agricultural lenders, and small business operations.
Sarah L. Fowler continues to help businesses, lenders, and individuals address financial challenges while working toward practical and cost-effective legal solutions. Sarah also advises financial institutions and businesses dealing with compliance matters involving the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Fair Credit Billing Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and the Equal Credit Opportunity Act. In 2022, she was appointed as a member of the Chapter 7 Panel of Bankruptcy Trustees for the Southern District of Indiana.
