Saori Ishida

Saori Ishida is the founder of Ishida Immigration Law PLLC in Washington, DC, where she practices exclusively in U.S. immigration and nationality law. She represents businesses, nonprofit organizations, entrepreneurs, individuals, and families in a wide range of immigration matters. Ishida handles employment-based and family-related cases, nonimmigrant visas, permanent residence matters, and complex immigration issues, helping clients understand available options and navigate federal immigration procedures.

Ishida earned a J.D. from American University, Washington College of Law and an M.A. in International Affairs from American University, School of International Services. She is admitted in New York and the District of Columbia. Her legal and international affairs education supports her work with clients whose immigration matters often involve cross-border business, government procedures, and changing regulatory requirements. She also brings cultural and language skills to her work with Japanese clients.

Ishida’s experience includes H-1B, TN, E-3, L-1, E-1, E-2, H-3, J-1, and O-1 matters, as well as PERM/Labor Certification, immigrant visa petitions, and applications for legal permanent resident status. She also handles national interest waivers, J-1 two-year home residence requirement waivers, removal proceedings, and matters involving prior denials or Requests for Evidence. Before founding her firm, she practiced immigration law at Barnes & Thornburg LLP in Chicago, advising corporate and individual clients.

Saori Ishida is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and writes about U.S. immigration law for a monthly publication of the Japanese Commerce Association of Washington DC. Fluent in Japanese, she assists clients in understanding unfamiliar immigration procedures and the practical steps required for their matters.
