About

Sandra C. Muñoz is a highly respected attorney committed to protecting workers’ civil rights. As the founder of the Law Offices of Sandra, she has over 20 years of experience representing employees in workplace discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage theft. Her practice is dedicated to ensuring workers receive fair treatment and justice in the workplace.

Sandra earned her Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles in 1997. During her time there, she served as President of the La Raza Law Students Association and was honored as the National Association of Women Lawyers’ Outstanding Law Student of the Year. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from UCLA. Her early success includes winning the 1996 Hispanic National Bar Association Moot Court competition with her Loyola team.

Sandra has fought tirelessly for employees facing unfair labor practices throughout her career. As an associate at Hadsell & Stormer, she successfully argued before the Ninth Circuit and the California Court of Appeal. Later, at Moreno, Becerra, & Casillas, she represented victims of the LAPD Rampart Scandal and secured justice in her first trial for a young Mexican immigrant shot by law enforcement.

At her firm, Sandra continues to take on major employment law cases. She was instrumental in Carillo v. Schneider, a class action lawsuit against Walmart that resulted in a $22.7 million settlement for warehouse workers. Her dedication to advocacy has earned her the 2016 CLAY award and the Mary V. Orozco Abriendo Caminos Award, recognizing her contributions to workers’ rights and community service.

Beyond litigation, Sandra C. Muñoz plays a vital role in the legal community. She serves as Membership Director for the Mexican-American Bar Association, HNBA Southern California Regional President, and a member of the Education Committee for the California Employment Lawyers Association. Her work continues to shape labor rights advocacy and strengthen worker protections across California.
